At McMaster Children’s Centre we believe that children learn best through play and are inspired by child based learning. We have several different areas of play in each of our groups. Throughout the day a variety of activities are available for the children. Examples of these areas include:
- Dramatic Play
- Library Books
- Sensory (water & dry tactile)
- Cognitive toys
- Circle Time
- Gross Motor (indoor & outdoor)
We provide an environment where children can learn about the world around them and provide opportunities for healthy relationships with other children and adults. We recognize and are aware of each child’s individual development so that they can be encouraged to grow. Our long term goal is that children will meet their full potential in all areas of development, including physical, intellectual, emotional, social and language. We do this through working cooperatively with parents to build a bridge between home and school.
